Hour Acupuncture Session
Each acupuncture session begins by checking in. Dr. Julie will ask you how you’re feeling and what you would like her to work on today. After that’s established, she will give you some privacy to get settled on the treatment table (a soft warm space where you will be reclining during the session). If you are wearing loose, comfortable clothing there is no need to undress.
When she returns she will look at your tongue and take your pulse, often gently palpating one or more areas of your body with your permission and consent. These are important diagnostic tools in Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Next, she will formulate the acupuncture treatment plan based on the information that you and your body have provided. Generally 8-10 extremely thin, sterile needles are inserted in various places on your body. It should be noted that most patients do not feel the needle insertion whatsoever. At this stage of the treatment, most patients report feeling deep contentment and peace, as well as very relaxed and sleepy. Most patients do fall asleep which is perfectly fine. Dr. Julie will continue to check in with you during the remainder of your session.

Full Acupuncture Sessions
For those needing multiple sessions, this is a great way to save on individual Full Sessions.
4 sessions 60 mins each | $500

No special preparation is required before an acupuncture session, although many patients prefer to eat a light snack and wear loose, comfortable clothing.

if you wear loose, comfortable clothing you will not need to undress. It is always possible to treat an area of the body that is covered by using different points.

Dr.Stapleton often uses laser acupuncture or vibrational stimulation to treat the body instead of acupuncture needles. For patients who do not wish to have needles inserted, these are other ways to stimulate and balance the qi.
